Contributing to your SIPP by debit card

You can make a one-off contribution to your SIPP by debit card using:

How to add money to your SIPP by debit card

  • Log into your online account and select cash & transfers > add cash
  • If you have not already done so, you will need to register a UK debit card. Click on add card and enter your debit card details. 
  • Enter the amount of money you wish to contribute.
  • Ensure you have selected to add cash into your SIPP account.
  • To use your available annual allowance, select to make a personal net contribution (ii will claim the basic rate of tax relief on your behalf).
    Alternatively, you can select to make a gross personal contribution (ii will not collect any tax relief on your behalf).
  • Check if the HMRC protection warning applies to you and click to confirm you have understood the warning. Then click the Add cash button to confirm.  

What's next?

  • If you have made a net contribution, we will claim basic rate tax relief (20%) for you. It usually takes 6-11 weeks to receive the tax reclaim from HMRC.
  • You can claim higher-rate tax relief via your own annual tax return. 

How to add money to your SIPP using your mobile app

The following instructions are for making net personal contributions (ii will claim the basic rate of tax relief on your behalf). You will be eligible for tax relief if you have unused annual allowance.

  • Log into your mobile app.
  • Select Profile and then Add Cash.
  • Select your SIPP account from the Select Account menu.
  • Enter the amount you wish to contribute.
  • Once you have read the tax relief and Lifetime Allowance Protection disclaimers, click Make Payment

What's next?

  • We will claim basic rate tax relief (20%) for you. It usually takes 6-11 weeks to receive the tax reclaim from HMRC.
  • You can claim higher-rate tax relief via your own annual tax return.
